Il caso che mi si è presentato è quello di un vecchio server con sistema operativo Windows Server 2003. Quando ho provato ad eseguire un file di installazione di un aggironamento scaricato da Microsoft, veniva mostrato un erore come segue :
Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.
Il problema nasce da una caratteristica di Internet Explorer 7 che deve essere espressamente autorizzare l’esecuzione di programmi proveniente da siti remoti.
Risoluzione :
To disable the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration setting, follow these steps:
- Click Start, click Run, type appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.
- In the Add or Remove Programs dialog box, click Add/Remove Windows Components, click Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration, and then click Details.
- In the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration dialog box, click to clear the For administrator groups check box and the For all other user groups options check box, and then click OK.
- Click Next to disable the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration setting.
